Meeting Minutes 


Minutes for
 Meeting of January 20, 2005

Present:  Wes and Lyn Hoffmaster, Joella Unser, Regina Shaffer, Carol McGrath, Lee Dowding, Carolyn Osier, Elizabeth Koller and guest Becky Orlando.

The meeting began with a presentation by Christin Fahrer, DVM who is currently in her second year of a three year residency program at the Eye Care for Animals clinic in Tustin. Handouts outlining her talk on feline ophthalmology are available from the Secretary for those who were not present at the meeting. The minutes of the last meeting were approved with no corrections.

Treasurer’s Report:

The Treasurer’s Report indicated a total current balance in the club account of $10,916.26, including $3,440.19 in Aby rescue funds. The July 2004 show made a profit of $2,148.24, plus proceeds from the SCAR raffle of $832.50. There was a $50 donation to SCAR and no expenses for rescues during this time period.

Kitten Match:
              Date: 3rd weekend in July, July 16-17th. 10AM to 4PM on Saturday, if possible.

            Theme: Carol McGrath suggested grooming. Other suggestions are welcome. No decision made at this meeting.

            Costs: should be the same as the last match at the Crown Valley Park facility.

            Catalog: Joella will produce with Lee Dowding doing the pedigrees.

            Flyer:  – Lauren Wendt will be asked to produce this.

            Rosettes: – Regina Shaffer will order them from Ann Marie and will donate them to the club.

            Cages: Carol volunteered to be responsible for getting and bringing them.

Aby/Somali rosettes for Bests in the region 2004-2005:
Carol McGrath moved and the club voted to accept awarding top three Aby and Somali awards in Championship/ Premiership/ Kittens to conform to the regional and national awards. A budget of $5 per rosette was approved (plus shipping). Carol McGrath will order them. We have used Ann Marie in the past for these awards.

ABI show July 15-16, 2006:
Format of 1day/6 rings approved
         Carol will check on the availability of the Long Beach showhall.
         Regina and Carol will begin contacting judges. Everyone is invited to nominate 3.

SCAR:
We currently have a problem with 2 unplaceable cats.

 Next meeting:
